Mitrefinch, leaders in the development of comprehensive Time and Attendance and Employee Management solutions, are pleased to announce that they have achieved the prestigious ISO 14001 Environment accreditation, illustrating the organisation’s current and future commitment to controlling and improving their environmental performance and minimising environmental impact.
The ISO 14001 is an internationally accepted standard that outlines a framework to assist businesses in implementing an effective Environmental Management System (EMS), which requires an organisation to manage, measure, improve and communicate its environmental programme in a more systematic way.
One of the primary requirements for certification is to have a comprehensive list identifying operations that may impact the environment and taking action to reduce such impact. In order to comply, a rigorous audit of Mitrefinch’s operations was carried out by the independent certification body ISOQAR.
This audit enabled Mitrefinch to identify aspects of the business that had an impact on the environment and then establish a set of objectives for improvement and a rigorous management programme to achieve them.
Going forward, regular reviews ensure that Mitrefinch’s environmental standards are maintained and remain an ongoing focus for the Mitrefinch management team, facilitating continual organisational improvement.
